The Iranian Community School offers one-on-one Persian language classes
for adults who are interested in learning the Persian language and
gaining a deeper understanding of Iranian culture. Our experienced
native instructors and effective teaching methods help students
develop speaking, reading, and writing skills in a supportive
learning environment.
Whether you are beginning your Persian journey or looking to strengthen
existing language skills, instruction is tailored to your individual
level, goals, and pace.
What Students Will Learn
This course introduces adult learners to Farsi through structured
modules covering the essentials:
- Farsi Basics: Persian alphabet, greetings, and cultural importance.
- Reading & Comprehension: Simple texts, vocabulary, and Persian literature.
- Writing: Handwriting, sentence formation, and creative expression.
- Speaking: Conversational practice, pronunciation, and Persian idioms.
- Cultural Immersion: Exploring Iranian traditions, films, and media.
- Real-Life Application: Cultural presentations and language exchange.
Students also have access to quizzes, a final project, online learning
resources, and Persian media, providing opportunities to practice
Persian both inside and outside the classroom.
Classes are held on weekdays and Saturdays in Vienna, Virginia.
Instruction is available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
