Instructor Bio: Roxana Sarrafi

Roxana Sarrafi is a distinguished Persian classical vocalist who began her musical journey at the age of 11 in Iran. Despite earning a master’s degree in law, she has remained devoted to her passion for music, training under esteemed artists such as Gh. Rezai, H. Nourbakhsh, and Parisa. Roxana is well-versed in Persian Radif and proficient in playing the setar and tar. She has performed extensively in Iran, collaborating with notable artists like Alireza Ghorbani and Ali Ghamsari. In addition, she has showcased her talent in the United States, particularly in Washington D.C., Virginia, and California. In 2023, Roxana participated in the Silk Road workshop in Boston, where she worked alongside international artists including Abeer Nehme, Mike Block, and Kala Ramnath.
